Meet The Makers

Leadership Team

Aditya Kapoor

Aditya KapoorCo-Founder, Tokarii, Mindful Sourcing

An engineer-turned-proven-entrepreneur, Aditya Kapoor decided to quit his cushy corporate job in the automotive industry to build something of his own. He truly believes in not only benefiting the society but also the environment that we take from. With that in mind, he decided to establish a brand in the food and beverage industry that encourages mindful and clean eating, in a world that is ruled by a fast-paced culture.

After working with a Japanese automobile giant, Honda Cars India, Aditya Kapoor first started his entrepreneurial journey in sustainability through Dalchinii, a sustainable-fashion brand. His extensive research and his youthful exuberance and passion about his personal beliefs led him to partner with Jatin Katyal to outset a new-age, chic concept, Tokarii. With an objective to recover what junk food has destroyed, the idea was conceptualized with a clear dearth of genuine healthy food that the brand promises to cater via locally sourced ingredients to the table in the form of gourmet, delicious, wholesome food. The co-founders have curated the brand’s menu to break barriers and by making something that is still considered healthy but enthralling.

“Today, I will do something my future self will be proud of,” is the motto that Aditya lives his life by. Being a self-confessed foodie and music lover, he had been wanting to create something in the food and beverage space that can combine his passions into one brand. With that and a chance conversation with Co-Founder Jatin Katyal, he came up with Tokarii.

With aiming; the first successful launch of Tokarii, Aditya’s vision for the brand expansion strategy is to grow it to 10-15 kitchens across pan India within the next two years. He is also working on an idea of a physical restaurant space with his co-founder that will be the perfect hub for a community of artists, poets, musicians and local artisans to showcase the best of their offerings, while still bringing their values of ethically sourcing ingredients and developing technology on the same lines. With each new concept and new outlet, Aditya moves one step closer to his vision and continues to revolutionize healthy eating habits in India and plans to expand Tokarii while keeping core values of economic development.

Aditya is the ideal mix of a perfectionist and a disciplinarian. He’s a passionate foodie and a music enthusiast, unwinds himself by binge-watching on OTT platforms, and occasionally follows his fitness regime. That’s why when he and his Co-Founder, Jatin, decided to venture into the food and beverage domain together, he wanted to stress more importantly on eating right. He feels ecological balance is maintained by one’s consciousness, and that we are a community of people who opt for conscious choices to make sustainable living a lifestyle. Aditya also considers this isn’t achieved with a few people overturning their whole lives to adopt a certain way of living, but by all of us making small but impactful choices.

Jatin KatyalCo-Founder, Tokarii - Mindful Sourcing

Jatin Katyal is a young foodpreneur, Co-Founder of Tokarii - Mindful Sourcing, a new-age, chic cloud kitchen with sustainability at its core. To cater food enthusiasts an escapade of clean and healthy eating experience, he launched Tokarii in Gurugram and aiming to launch another in Delhi with the other Co-founder. Being a foodie to his core, he adds to bring raw potential and a zest for innovation to the F&B industry. Alongside of his joint venture Tokarii, Jatin is also involved in a plant-based and satvik frozen food business that mainly focuses on exporting the products, under the name of O’Pure Foods.

Jatin is passionate about food and even more zealous about people. He is driven by a greater purpose in life, which is to make a positive impact in the lives of others. With Tokarii the idea at inception was that it has to be pure and salubrious. He does not only make a leading sustainable lifestyle more accessible, but also ensures carefully sourced ingredients and gives back to the communities of local artisans that the brand works with. The stereotype that “healthy is boring'' is what this young co-founder wanted to break. His inclination towards innovation has led him to adopt, implement and add cutting-edge food technologies to Tokarii to promote clean eating with ingredients like hydroponic and Himalayan cheese, and using innovative ways of reducing their carbon footprint by soilless farming. Be it the storytelling packaging, or Tokarii’s unique concept of educating consumers about the importance of eliminating plastic in the brand’s packaging process by following the zero plastic use initiative, Jatin has made sure everything is handpicked and personally curated by these co-founders to ensure that Tokarii as a brand is meeting its benchmarks.

Jatin holds a bachelor's in Mass Media and a Diploma in Contemporary Music. He wanted to create a space that would serve as a hub for a community of artists from all walks of life. A chance conversation with his Co-Founder Aditya Kapoor led the duo to form Indie Grit, but they had to alter their plans of opening a physical establishment as their future vision aligns with the present, i;e cloud kitchen, which is a beta version to conduct R&D and design a sustaining model for the bigger dream. However, after a year of introspection and having taken inspiration from his father’s 25 years of legacy in the global organic industry, Jatin felt even more determined and decided to foray into the food and beverage vertical through a concept-based cloud kitchen. He is always on the lookout for innovations that he can incorporate into Tokarii, be it in the development of these gourmet delicacies or improved ways of sourcing and even packaging.

Jatin being an Energetic, persistent and creative individual, he is inquisitive about new and interesting ways of connecting his heritage with modern twists. His journey into the F&B space is inspiring for other young millennials like him. Jatin truly is a maverick in the F&B industry.
